Hello and welcome to this episode of Welcome Consciousness. I'm always super excited to be able to have your attention for a moment, and so I hope that you've sort of found that by now with this podcast that there won't be any video. There won't be any guest. It will just be me and you, and my hope is to inspire your day, to speak life to your day, and that you'll also get something, some kind of inspiration that you'll take with you into your life, into your business, and your next breath. So we always start with some type of relaxation technique because is a core principle in our programs that we have to find a quiet place. We have to get off of the hamster wheel in order to create new thoughts, new ideas, inspiration, and find our creativity. But in addition to that, we have to reduce our stress because the brain is not meant to be used on adrenaline.
Actually, we're not thinking well at all when we're adrenalized. We are meant to run from the tiger or chase the tiger and get it, but we are not meant to try to think literally and critically with discernment while we're adrenalized. So with that, I would love for you to find a gaze or close your eyes. Closing your eyes is always the best option because as we close our eyes, we actually interrupt the habit of rumination. So I'd love for you to close your eyes, and what I've heard so much about recently in our client membership is how difficult it is for client members to quiet their mind. And so I'd like to offer just something simple for you today to help you to quiet your mind. So if you'll close your eyes or find your gaze, and then what we'll do is we'll take in some nice deep breaths in through the nose and out through the mouth.
But how I'm going to invite you to quiet your mind is to try to do just one thing at a time. So in other words, you can't be on your phone and try to breathe or you can't be on the computer and just listening on the sidelines here, what I'd like you to do is put all those distractions away, close your eyes and take in a nice deep breath. And the way that we're going to manage the rumination and the overthinking and all the busyness in your head is we're going to manage that by counting our breaths. And so I'd like to ask you to go ahead, close your eyes, allow the chair to support you, sort of rest into your sit bones. And then as you take nice long exaggerated inhales and exaggerated exhales, I'd like you to just go ahead and count them.
So counting one on the inhale, two on the exhale, and so on. So once you get to four or five, then you can come back to your natural rhythm breathing. But I'd like for you to only count, we're not going to do anything else. So go ahead, take in a nice deep breath into your nose, exhale out through the mouth, allow those breaths to be a little bit more exaggerated than usual. In other words, a much longer inhale, a nice big belly breath. And then on the exhale, perhaps you would even like to exaggerate with the he sound.
I bet you're so glad I did that in your ear. Anyway, so we're going to go ahead and count one on the inhale two on the exhale. And again, I hope you've been doing this as I've been talking with you about it. And when you're ready to be in this present moment, I'd like you to go ahead, return to your natural rhythm of breathing, and then go ahead and open your eyes to being present right now. So we're in this series, both in our programs and on this podcast that talks about blind spots. And I think I've said before that some of the high achievers that I work with are probably the most unaware of their blind spots. Why? Because they're hard workers and they've been doing workarounds, get around that blind spot. And it is worked so far, probably pretty well. But what I want us to talk about today is that the idea that that workaround also takes energy, energy that could be redistributed to something far more creative or even being present.
And so today I want to talk about this idea that client members oftentimes say when they come into our programs, they like to talk a lot about the word busy. They're so busy, they're too busy. I'm so busy. The phrase I hear oftentimes makes me sort of giggle because what they don't realize is that very soon once you come into our programs, you'll notice that I call BS on busy. So why I say that, why do I say busy is Bs, is because I want us to understand today that clarity is priceless. So one of the core principles of our programs is that you have to know who you are and what you want. Now, that might seem too simple, but it's actually not because if you actually ask yourself today, what is it that I want? You might have to really think about that because most of us are not that clear on it. And especially as people come into our groups and into our membership, when we ask that question, some people are actually stumped, even hugely successful people. So I want us to start to think about the idea that you have to be so clear about who you are, who you are in your gifts and talents, what you're good at, and then what you want.
And if you aren't clear about those two things, then I would love for you to do take some time and think about it and perhaps you might even write about it. What isn't I want? So the way that we get super clear about what we want is we use a very simple tool for 90 day goals. And so I'm going to explain that to you today and share that with you today because I hope that you'll take that and use it for yourself so that you can be so clear about knowing who you are and what you want, and that in that clarity, you'll find that you have laser focus and efficiencies as opposed to being busy.
So when we use our tool for 90 D goals, we like to include sort of a holistic approach. And so we look at what we call four pillars. And those four pillars are your health, your financials slash impact, your relationships and your spirituality. So what I'd like for you to do is think about borrower 90 day goals and create a page for yourself where you can write down your 90 day goals, make sure that they cover a holistic approach, all the four pillars. And then what we do with our 98 goals is that we look at those goals many, many times. So in other words, we want to have them somewhere where they can be right out in front of us. And when we look at those goals on a regular rate basis and bring them to our awareness, we practice like this. We review each night before we go to bed, those 90 day goals. And what I'd like you to think about is if you've made your goals heavy or overwhelming, then I'd like for you to start to think about how to shift that for yourself and create a mantra. I wonder what wonderful thing will help Meet me, meet these goals.
Your mantra can be whatever you'd like, but I would love for you to make it a curious one. So each night, reviewing those 98 goals and allowing yourself to get a little bit excited about it, I wonder what wonderful thing will help me to meet these goals and then allow your unconscious mind in your sleep to help you to resolve that, to come up with creative solutions and how to meet and exceed those 90 day goals. So in our practice, what we do is we review them before we go to bed at night, allow our creative unconscious mind to create solutions, new ideas, creative energy. And then when you rise in the morning before getting up, before grabbing your phone, before any blue lights, we review them again so that we can get excited about the day. And again, if those 90 day goals start to feel stressful or overwhelming, this is where we need to actually fine tune.
We need to allow ourselves to move into a more creative energy around those 90 day goals. In other words, gratitude, enthusiasm, passionate pursuit of your goals is creative and sometimes magical energy. So again, creating your own mantra to start your day. I wonder what surprising and impactful thing will happen today. Maybe you can come up with a better one than that, but I want you to remember that what we focus on or give our energy to is what we get more of. Now, I know you've heard that before, but I'd like for you to let that sink in because when we're in a stressful state and state of overwhelm and adrenalized state in that hustle and grind state, then that's not creative energy. That is us working out of adrenaline, which is not sustainable. So when we can focus our energy clearly with clarity on our 90 day goals, and especially including each of the four pillars, each area of our life, then we can start to understand why busy is bs.
That clarity comes from knowing who you are and what you want, being clear and having your 90 day goals be top of mind, and that clarity of those goals and weighted priorities, we'll scale your business. But when we tell ourselves, well, I'm busy. Well, I'm too busy. Well, I was busy, I just want to let you know that anything other than clarity just becomes a distraction. So I would love for you to think in new ways about your 90 day goals. And I hope that today I've been able to speak life into you in terms of where your clarity can be fine tuned and can help to bring you dissatisfaction, the peace of mind, the excitement of meeting and exceeding those goals in each area of your life. This is really what the purpose of wealth consciousness is to create a life that is wealthy on every level.
