Hello and welcome to this episode of Wealth Consciousness. I'm always super excited to be able to take a moment and do this podcast recording so that I can touch your day. I'm always super excited about the idea of actually bringing you some kind of inspiration that will actually touch your day and touch your heart. So as always, I would love to have your full attention. I know that's asking a lot, but I'm going to ask for your full attention. So put away your phone, outside of your reach, the computer, all the conversations, all the noise around you, and take a moment to give yourself some silence. Now, usually we take some deep breaths or we find a focal point. We try to quiet our mind. And the reason we do this is throughout my day when I'm talking with high achievers in our groups and in our one-on-one immersive sessions, I noticed that just about everyone I speak with needs a little downtime.

Everyone is working at such a pace and it seems that with technology we're available 24 by seven. We have so much information coming at us and so much to do. So today I would love for you to give yourself the gift of silence. Now, you might notice that silence is a practice that takes some patience. Not everyone's comfortable with silence, but we all need more silence in our day. So as unusual as it might sound, I'm going to ask you to put this podcast on pause for just a brief few moments and give yourself the gift of silence. Now, of course, I'm not going to do silence with you, although that'd be funny. I'm going to ask you to pause the podcast. Now, I don't know if there's any other podcast that asks you to place them on pause, but today that's what I'm going to ask you to do. If you'll just take a moment to give yourself silence. So put this podcast on pause, maybe even for just three or four breaths. But I'd like for you to notice how much you deeply needed some silence. So take a moment.

Now. Welcome back. What was your experience of silence? Did you enjoy it? Did you avoid it? Did you hit pause and then play again? I hope that you will, even if you haven't done it during this podcast, find silence today. Find a few moments to give yourself the gift of silence. And perhaps as you sit in silence, you could allow yourself the gift of no activity and perhaps even no thoughts. And the way you can practice having silence is to empty your thoughts. In other words, allow them to pass. Like you might notice clouds in a weather system.

If you've been to Hawaii or other tropical places, you'll notice that the clouds move at such a pace. So if you could allow yourself to sort of play the game in your imagination during a few moments of silence, silence to allow your thoughts to rise up and then to pass like the clouds in a weather system. So today we're going to talk about one of my favorite topics, and that is your blind spot. We all have these blind spots, and the reason we're not familiar with them is exactly that. We are blind to them. We don't notice them. Now, perhaps if you took a poll of your business partners or your family members or your husband or your wife, your spouse, they might be able to tell you about some of your blind spots. But here's what I noticed with high achievers over many, many years of working with people that have incredible businesses that are impacting the world, that are enjoying all kinds of freedoms because of being able to scale and grow their business.

But the very interesting thing about high achievers is they are the most unclear about their blind spots. Now, why is that true? Because overachievers are always working so hard. So those of you who have a really high standard for yourself and for your business, for your ability to make money, you probably have blind spots that you are working around on a daily basis. Why do I know that to be true? Because I see it every day. And the interesting thing to consider today is how much energy are you using to work around your blind spots?

Now, one of the things that I notice, again with high achievers, with successful people is the smarter you are, the more you are unaware of your blind spots and the more you have very sophisticated workarounds. But today I'm going to give you a couple of ideas of where you can look for your blind spots. Now, if you're super brave, you could ask the people around you because they'll give you some feedback and you may or may not enjoy that. But what I'm going to ask you to take a look at for yourself is wherever you find your groundhog day that day where the same thing keeps happening over and over and you keep having the same response to it, that's the first place to look for a clue of your personal blind spots. Now, why do we want to talk about blind spots? Because it is within our personal development that we increase our capacity to show up for our impact in the world.

So this is why it's super important to identify those blind spots and then no longer move around them. Now we're going to move through them. The obstacle is the way. So I want you to think about this idea of looking for in your day for the place where you keep repeating the same patterns over and over and over, and perhaps you could even write that down for yourself and write down exactly how it happens, how it works each time, how that conversation works each time, how that employee shows up, and then we respond to it each time or a partnership or an issue in the business. I'd like for you to just sort of take an inventory as you go through your day and sort of notice where your personal Groundhog Day shows up. And when you notice that, you'll start to have an idea of where your blind spot resides.

Now again, the reason we want to identify these blind spots is because we want to take that energy that we're using for workaround, and we want to be able to focus that energy back to our internal compass, to that knowing place, to our intuitive intelligence, that when that's focused, when that's aligned, when that is on and on purpose, we have limitless capacity and capability. But when we are in workaround mode, we are exhausting ourselves. We are expending energy that is unnecessarily spent. So again, I want you to take a look. I want you to notice where's your groundhog day? Start to notice for yourself, bring to your awareness. Remember, awareness is everything. Bring to your awareness where you've had this same situation show up over and over. And what I want to offer to you today is that as you bring your attention to that Groundhog Day experience, you will start to notice the way through that blind spot.

But I also want to share with you that I've learned over the years to quickly identify those blind spots because they show up in our language, they show up in our thought process, they show up in how we communicate. And so I would like for you to think about the idea of really having the energy and the clarity returned back to its focal point back to our internal compass by becoming really aware of the place that we probably don't like to spend much time, because we've decided that somehow it's unacceptable to us. Somehow we've decided that we need to turn away from our attention from that blind spot area. Many times, believe it or not, it shows up in imposter syndrome. I'm always surprised by that. Not surprised, like I haven't seen it before because I've seen it a lot. But I'm always surprised at the level of success that our members and people that come into strategy calls with us have also suffered from imposter syndrome.

So the place where they worry or wonder, am I not enough? Will people know? And so I would like to offer today that the way to move through that blind spot and the obstacles we set up for ourselves is in bringing our awareness probably to the place that you've been trying to ignore. And so today I want to offer DM me, if you would. We can talk about your personal blind spot. If you don't know where yours is, I can help you point that out. But I want to remind you today that any obstacle in your awareness or in your experience is rooted in your thinking. And with that, I'll remind you that a thought is just a thought. So move on to the next one. Thank you for listening to today's episode. I'm so grateful to have you here with me.
